At Mint.com, one of our core beliefs has always been that money management shouldn’t feel like a chore.
Now, we’re taking that principle to the next level: teaching young adults about money management in a fun, entertaining way.
We just launched our new online “Quest for Money” game developed in collaboration with Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, as a fun way for middle school students to learn about money management strategies like earning and saving money, and budgeting to meet specific financial goals. The game challenges players with questions about money, shopping and saving – rewarding them for smart choices and correct answers.
To play the new game visit http://www.mint.com/education. There, you can even download lesson plans developed specifically for middle-school students. Materials also are available online for teachers at www.scholastic.com/mint and will be distributed in 30,000 classrooms nationwide this year.
The game was inspired by and based on the characters in our Quest for Credit video.
