Valentine’s Day: The Price of Love

It’s that time of the year again: to pledge your heart and soul to your loved one and show them how much they mean to you. Or, to put it more trivially, it’s time to go shopping for flowers, chocolates, jewelry and romantic lingerie. So we decided to find out just how much people are spending on that holiday (not including restaurant dinners which, we all know, can add up to quite a bit). We took a look at the average amount spent on flowers, jewelry and intimates in 2010 and compared the results to 2009. The results are in this infographic. What will you spend this year? Stay tuned for our next infographic, out early next week, which will reveal spending on V-Day 2011.
