You’re Invited To A Private (Beta) Event
As we mentioned earlier this month, Mint.com will be adding investments, mutual funds, and retirement accounts to our existing online finance service very soon. As a blog reader, we’d like to offer you a sneak peek. Please let us know if you’d like to be included in our upcoming private beta of these new features. You’ll be among the first to kick the tires.
We think you’ll find that Mint’s approach to Investments is all about helping you make better financial management decisions more easily. So, you’ll find quick and timely answers to key questions like:
- What’s the big picture? Mint pulls together all your 401(k), IRA, brokerage, and mutual fund accounts in one secure place.
- Am I beating the market? Compare your stocks, accounts, or total portfolio to relevant market indices like the S&P 500.
- Is my money working hard for me, or for my broker? You’ll understand what fees you’re being charged, by whom, and when.
We hope you’ll come take a test drive. We’ve been heads down for awhile building this and we’re looking forward to getting your feedback.

Just looking at that graph gets me excited about the new investment features–looking forward to getting a look at them first-hand.
Thanks, as always, for consistently adding new features since launch!
This looks likes a pretty exciting improvement and definitely helps to fill in one of the gaps in Mint being a 100% full featured personal financial management solution.
I have always liked Mint’s data visualization options. They look good of course, but also strike a good balance between being the amount of information displayed and ease of use/reading. Hopefully the investment tools will have the same approach.
I just received a “beta invitation” (I think) but it sure looks A LOT like a phishing scam. None of the links go to mint.com; they all go to “rs6.net” with a massive gibberish hash after it. The headers, too are different from usual mint.com correspondence; they all refer to constantcontact.com.
If this really is mint.com’s way of running a beta program through third-party marketers, they should know how questionable all this looks.
I’m not clicking on those links.
Geoffrey, We tried a different approach to notifying our users about the private beta for investments this time, using Constant Contact as our email provider. My apologies if the message appeared suspicious to you; I understand your concerns. We’ll improve for next time.
If you’d like to be included in the private beta, please email me personally and I’ll get you on the list.

I am frothing at the mouth waiting for this! None of my investment accounts provide this sort of graphical information. I do not keep up with day to day performance so this will really help me see how I’m doing!
I would also like to suggest that you include this same feature for any type of account (i.e savings, checking, credit card, net assets). It wouldn’t really be as useful as with investment accounts, but I love graphs and would enjoy seeing how many net assets are performing over time.
Does anyone know if this will support zecco? Or only pay for brokerages?
I can’t wait! I just recently added my Mutual Fund to my account and can’t wait to see the Investment tab to go live! Just signed up for the beta!
RandomGuy: Mint’s new investment features will support Zecco Trading! I would recommend you add your Zecco Trading account right now so that transaction history can accumulate, and once the investment feature rolls out completely, you’ll have as much past transactional history as possible.
any update on when mortgage tracking will be added? (and/or car values?) Those are the two big missing pieces from Microsoft Money for me. Other than that, mint.com looks like a great service
So has the beta started yet?
Love the site, can’t wait to see additional features~ Told all my friends about Mint.com!
