In fact, phone companies have recently cut off FBI wiretaps because of their repeated failures to pay bills on time. We can sympathize. It’s challenging enough to keep track of your money even with a normal day job. Add chasing bad guys and maintaining a multiple identities to the mix, and you’re likely to miss a payment or two.

Ha ha, nice one! Did you come up with this over beers on the weekend?

I’ve always thought that Mint could grow so much more with some creative & amusing marketing ploy like this, creating a little media buzz which leads to curiosity and then sign ups. Since you don’t have the advertising clout of Quicken, who can easily and quickly spread the news of their new online service widely, more clever guerrilla marketing like this it the way to go.

How about a contest for best marketing suggestions?
